    Description

The LS-GWC-1 Heat Resistance Test Device for Cables is designed to evaluate the heat resistance of non-metallic and composite conduits. The testing procedure involves cutting the conduit sample to a specified length and placing it in a high-temperature environment with the device for a predetermined duration under constant temperature, simulating high-temperature usage conditions. Following the heating phase, a load perpendicular to the axis is applied to the sample using a steel rod and weights within the device, maintained for a specified time, allowing the sample to cool to room temperature under the load. After cooling, the load is removed, and a gauge is immediately passed through the vertically aligned sample under its own weight. The smooth passage of the gauge determines the conduit’s compliance with heat resistance standards, providing a standardized procedure for verifying compliance.

Standard: IEC 61386-1:2020 Conduit systems for cable management – Part 1: General requirements, GB/T 20041.1-2015 Conduit systems for cable management – Part 1: General requirements, GB/T 14823.2-1993 Conduit systems for electrical installations – Special requirements for rigid insulating material conduits, JG 3050 Insulating electrical conduits and fittings for construction, ZBG 33008 PVC corrugated electrical conduits.

    Specification:
    • Steel rod diameter: 6mm • Steel rod weight: 500g
    • Impact Weight: 0.5KG, 0.5KG, 1.0KG, 2.0KG, 4.0KG and 8.0KG
    • The 400℃ high temperature test chamber GW-225-400 must be selected as a supporting accessory according to standard requirements.

    Operation Instruction:
    • Cut the required conduit into samples with a length of 100 ± 5mm. Place the samples along with this instrument in an oven for 4 hours ± 5 minutes, with the temperature inside the oven based on Table 2 of IEC 61386-1:1996, with an error of ± 2°C.
    • After the heating stage is completed, lift the steel rod, place it on the specimen, and apply the corresponding weights to exert force for 24 hours ± 15 minutes…
