On 14 December 2012, the European Union formally promulgated Regulation (EU) No 1194/2012, implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and Council concerning eco-design requirements for directional lamps, LED lamps and related equipment. This regulation supersedes Commission Regulation (EC) No 244/2009 of 18 March 2009, which implemented Directive 2005/32/EC for non-directional household lamps, establishing more comprehensive mandatory eco-design specifications. Start-up and run-up time parameters have become increasingly critical functional indicators within the lighting industry.
To address compliance requirements under EU ErP regulations, IEC 60969 performance specifications for self-ballasted lamps in general lighting services, and Energy Star protocols, LISUN engineered the LSRF-2 test system for lamp start-up, run-up time and flicker characterization.
The LSRF-2 Lamp Start-up, Run-up Time and Flicker Test System can be integrated as an optional module with LISUN LPCE-2 or LPCE-3 Integrating Sphere and Spectroradiometer Test Systems.
